The Picasso Seattle Art Museum exhibition is a traveling exhibit that featured 150 masterpieces from the legendary artist including paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographs and prints. While it may come as no surprise that it stoked the creative side of art enthusiasts in and around Washington State, few would have imagined it inspiring the package deals offered by city hotels that wanted to cash in on the business opportunity offered by anticipated tourist influx.
According to industry reports, as many as sixteen city hotels extended special Picasso Seattle holiday packages to their guests whose main aim of coming to the city was to view the exhibit that was on display from October 8, 2010 to January 17, 2011. A few features of the Picasso Seattle holiday packages include exclusive admission tickets to the Seattle Art Museum that allowed the pass holders to bypass the general admission line, discounted accommodation bookings, valet parking and late checkout facility. In addition to that, a few hotels also offered lucrative discounts on in-hotel dining.
